This 2 oz silver round features the captivating 'Egyptian God: Anubis' design, part of Provident Metals' exclusive and highly popular Egyptian Gods Series. The obverse of the round masterfully depicts Anubis, the ancient Egyptian god of the afterlife, portrayed with the head of a black jackal, symbolizing his connection to the underworld. He is shown alongside the crucial 'Scales of Justice,' utilized in the ceremonial 'weighing of the heart.' Accompanying Anubis are intricate symbols of death, including a mummified falcon, a jar of embalming fluid, and a skull, with hieroglyphics spelling 'Anubis' carved into a stone ledge.
The reverse presents a stunning visualization of a pyramid, evoking the grandeur of the Giza complex, intricately detailed with brick patterns. A watchful jackal, representing Anubis's form, sits proudly on a plinth before the pyramid. Below the jackal, a winged sun disc, guarded by two uraeus serpents (symbols of royal protection), is carved into the ledge.
