The obverse of this 1 oz silver round features a striking rendition of the coiled rattlesnake from the iconic Gadsden flag, poised to strike with its fangs extended. Above the snake, the motto "DON'T TREAD ON ME" is inscribed, while "ESTABLISHED IN 1754" appears below, encircled by a series of stars. The rattlesnake design is attributed to Benjamin Franklin and gained prominence through Christopher Gadsden's flag during the American Revolution. The "ESTABLISHED IN 1754" inscription references the year Benjamin Franklin's influential "Join, or Die" cartoon first appeared.

The reverse displays a powerful eagle with its wings spread, grasping an olive branch (or similar foliage) in its talons and resting on a bundle of arrows. Above the eagle, "THE PRICE OF LIBERTY" is inscribed, and a banner below reads "ETERNAL VIGILANCE". The phrase "Eternal Vigilance" is widely associated with Thomas Jefferson. This reverse design, featuring the bald eagle and "Eternal Vigilance" banner, was specifically created for Provident Metals by the esteemed sculptor and engraver Thomas D.
